Quincy DeWitt Baker

Memorial Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Quincy Dewitt Baker, 67, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Grace Pointe Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Matthew Cunningham officiating.

Mr. Baker was born on November 19, 1951, in Springfield, MO and passed away on February 4, 2019, in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from West Monroe High School and served in the United States Navy, serving with NMCB 133 in Gulfport, MS and also in Okinawa and Sicily during Vietnam, where he was an electrician, heavy equipment operator, and scuba diver. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and taking care of animals. Mr. Baker is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph B. Baker Sr. and Audi Mae Hodges Baker and his brother, Joseph Baker Jr.

Survivors include his children, Jonathan Baker, Quentin Baker, James Baker, and Elizabeth Folden; grandchildren, Charles Folden, Cody Baker, Kaden Baker, Jacob Baker, Jonah Baker, Quincy Folden and Jace Baker; along with his companion, Judy Tanner.

The family will gather after the services to visit with family and friends at Grace Pointe Church.
