Phillip Kirby Baldwin

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Phillip Kirby Baldwin, 70, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday January 5, 2023 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Weldon Bares officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Phil was born October 15, 1952 in Monroe, LA, and passed away after a brave battle of health conditions on January 01, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at St. Francis Medical Center.  He was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM). He was a Project Manager in the Gas Pipeline Industry. Phil loved being in the outdoors, hunting, camping, cooking in Dutch ovens, and photography. Phil was an active member of the Boy Scouts, where he achieved the highest rank of an Eagle Scout at the early age of 13. Above all of his accomplishments and hobbies, Phil was a loving husband to his wife of 46 years, a devoted Dad, an amazing Poppy to his grandchildren, a faithful member of the United Methodist church, and a great friend to many.

Phil is preceded in death by his father, Otis Johnson Baldwin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Salinas Baldwin; Mother, Mary Jo Baldwin; Children, Brian Baldwin and his wife, Lindsay and Amy Miles and her husband, Beau; Grandchildren, Evelyn and Hayes Miles, and Madelyn and Alivia Baldwin; Siblings, Kathy Letsinger and husband, Doug, John Baldwin and his wife, Stephanie; Paul Baldwin, and Jill Mouk and her husband, Jeff; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family members and close friends.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:30 P.M. Thursday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles.
