Private family memorial services were held for Peter Rice Roper, Ret. Sgt. Major, 87, of Rayville, LA. Beloved father and grandfather he passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 24, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lola Jean Roper in 2001, and is survived by three daughters Trudy L. Charlton of New Mexico, Janell Kay Roper of San Jose, CA; Pamela Rae Biggs and her husband James Ray Biggs of Rayville, LA; five grandchildren blessed his life, Whitney Kay, Zoe Ann, Rachel Audrey, Jacob Ray Biggs, and Rebecca Lyn. He is also survived by two sisters Juanita Conrad of Bryant, AR and Peggy Lampkin of Shawnee Mission, KS.
Visitation was held Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Mulhearn Funeral Home – Rayville.
