Funeral services for Pete James Butitta, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 28, 2010, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev Thomas Lijo and Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Butitta passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was retired from Monroe Office Equipment and was the owner of Butitta Grocery Store. Mr. Butitta was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and Am Vets. He was a member and usher at St. Matthew Catholic Church and a retired Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force serving during WWII.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
