Peggy G. Cruse

A memorial service for Peggy G. Cruse, 78, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2::00 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at St. Marks Methodist Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Nat Barnett officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Cruse was born on December 17, 1946, in Baton Rouge, LA, to Glenn and Lucille Grigg. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. She retired from University of Louisiana Monroe, where she had worked in the office of the Registrar and the art department.

Mrs. Cruse was dedicated to bible study, prayer group, and Sunday school at St. Marks Methodist Church. She was actively involved in art groups at both St. Marks and the Senior Center. She also enjoyed Bingo at the Senior Center.

Mrs. Cruse was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Lucille Grigg; brother, Glendon Grigg; and husband, Rodney Cruse.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Spencer and Sarah Cruse of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Carson and Marlea Cruse of New Orleans, LA, and bonus grandson, Kyle Fowler of Phoenix, AZ; son, Nathan Cruse of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law and her husband, Charlotte and Malcolm Cain of Vidalia, LA, and their family.
