Pauline Gallien

Funeral Services for Mrs. Pauline Gallien, 88, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 18, 2019, at Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Gallien was born August 31, 1930, and passed away January 14, 2019. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and she was a retired teacher after 42 years with the Monroe Public School System. She was a graduate from Louisiana Tech and received her Master’s in Education from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Mrs. Gallien first taught in Gladewater, Texas for 10 years before moving to Monroe. She enjoyed reading and gardening, and she loved her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Holder Woodward; her husband, Jack Gallien; and three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee Gallien Miller and husband Scott; her grandsons, Ben Miller and Zack Miller; niece, Gwen Hinton; and other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
