Funeral services for Paul Wesley Gammill, 47, of Swartz, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 11, 2019, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Mr. Ben Hackler and Mr. Jonathan Barbo officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Gammill was born March 8, 1971, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in Monroe. Paul served in the United States Marine Corps for 7 years and worked for the United States Postal Service for 19+ years. He attended church at North Monroe Baptist Church where he was adored by many. He was a very special God loving man and reared his family in a good Christian home. Paul was an avid fisherman and loved being with his family and fishing buddies. He was a loving father, husband, son, uncle, and friend. His family loved him with all of their hearts.
Mr. Gammill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Birdie Beatrice Box Gammill, Marley Levi Gammill, Rolland L. Hardy, and Ester Lily Mason Hardy; and nephew, Dalton Hunt.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Debra Bell Gammill; daughter, Kelsey Marie Gammill and fiancé Jeremy Kerstell; son, Clay Wesley Gammill; father, Billy Ray Gammill; mother, Rosalyn Gammill; sister, Amy Gammill Nelson (Randy); father and mother-in-law, Billy and Shirley Bell; sister-in-law, Becky Hunt (Ronnie); brother-in-law, Guy Bell (Lori); half-brother, Elmer Battaglia; niece, Jessica Hunt Rogers (Brad); nephew, Brandon Bell; great niece, Adalyn Ann Rogers; numerous cousins and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Dement, Randy Clark, John Crocket, Mike McDermott, Josh Thomas, Guy Bell, Ronnie Hunt, and Randy Nelson.
