Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Paul F. Pickering, Jr., 75, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 16, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. James Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

 Mr. Pickering was born June 30, 1949, in Eldorado, Arkansas and passed away on August 12, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

 He completed a successful career as an engineer at Hunt, Guillot, and Associates after his early years of employment at Ford, Bacon and Davis. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and boater enjoying the outdoors with his children and grandchildren. His love for music was passed on to his children and grandchildren. His greatest treasure in life was his family that he loved unconditionally. 

 He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Jo Ann Rhodes Pickering; and parents, Paul and Virginia Pickering.

 Survivors include his son, Trey Pickering and wife, Leslie; daughter, Ginny Bonnette; grandchildren, Blake Bonnette, Marli Chaffe and husband, Harper, Lainy Jones, Jenna Jones, and Isabella Bonnette; brother, Steve Pickering and wife, Gail; sister-in-law, Cathy Reed and husband, Al; brothers-in-law, Ralph Rhodes and Steve Rhodes and wife, Sherrie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers will be Hunt, Guillot, & Associates and friends.

 Memorials may be made to McClendon Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
