Celebration of Life Graveside services led by Brother Kevin Bates will be held on Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Chase Cemetery for Patricia (Patti) Ann Joseph Shelton, 68, who passed away on Thursday, November 5 at her home in Winnsboro. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Patti was born on October 29, 1952 in Monroe, Louisiana. She graduated from St. Frederick High School in Monroe, Louisiana and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She retired from the Louisiana Office of Family Services after 30 years and was employed by Plantation Manor Nursing Home at the time of her death.
She was an amazing cook. One of her greatest joys was to entertain her family with a delicious meal that she planned and prepared for them. Creating delicious custom specialty dishes with vegetables grown in their garden was one of her favorite things to do. Leftovers were very rare. She also had a knack for making their living spaces beautiful and welcoming, creating a cozy space for family and friends to gather.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 36 years, Marshall Shelton and her parents, Frankie M. Joseph, Sr. and Loretta Embanato Joseph.
Pattie is survived by four sons and their spouses: David and Nancy Reeves of Guatemala City, Guatemala; Matthew (Ashley) Reeves of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Billy Shelton (Carla) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Jamie Shelton (Carol Ann) of Pineville; one daughter, Angie Shelton Snuggs (Todd) of Winnsboro, Eleven grandchildren and their spouses Emily Shelton Carter (Rhett) and Noah (Mattlyn) Shelton of Augusta, Georgia; Isabella Shelton of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Elizabeth and James David Shelton of Pineville; Matthew Snuggs (Brittany) of Beaufort, South Carolina; Laci Snuggs Moreau (Joshua) of Maurice, Louisiana, and Joey Snuggs (Kayla) of Pineville, Nico Reeves of Guatemala City, Guatemala, and Amelia and Miles Reeves of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Seven great grandchildren; Brylee and Jaxon Moreau, Isaac, Parson and Hixon Snuggs, and Remington and Ryder Carter; three brothers Frankie M. Joseph, Jr. (Pat) of Monroe, Louisiana, Johnny Joseph ( Paula) of West Monroe, Louisiana and Edward Joseph of Magnolia, Arkansas; sister-in-law Katie Shelton Chiasson (Larry) of Crowley, Louisiana along with numerous nieces and nephews. Patti was also survived by Edward Beall (Krystal) of Winnsboro, Todd Ulmer( Lea Ann) of Chase, Louisiana who held a very special place in her heart.
Pall Bearers include Todd Snuggs, Edward Bealle, Todd Ulmer and Joshua Moreau.
