Patsy Cleveland Johnston

Funeral service for Ms. Patsy Cleveland Johnston, 89, of Haughton, LA, formerly of Monroe will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, November 5, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Monroe Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday, November 4, 2022, at the funeral home.

Ms. Johnston was born on November 18, 1932, in Decatur, MS, and passed away on November 2, 2022, in Shreveport, LA. She moved to Monroe in 1967 where she taught Home Economics at Calhoun High School and West Ouachita High School until retiring on December 31, 1994. Ms. Johnston was a member of First Baptist Church in Monroe for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her children, James Cleveland Johnston, Alice Patrice Johnston, and James Franklin “Jimbo” Johnston, Jr.; and sister JoAnn Cleveland.  

Survivors include her son, Lonnie Johnston and wife Kim; grandchildren, Jeremy Johnston and wife Jessica, Chad Johnston and wife Andrea, Megan Wyatt, Ashley Ridings and husband Steven, and Brittany Hoffnauer and husband Jonathon; great grandchildren, Rowan Wyatt, Quinn Wyatt, Vaughn Wyatt, Liam Johnston, Beckham Johnston, Daisy Johnston, Lillian Hoffnauer, Connor Ridings, Kiersten Ridings, Clayton Ridings, and Colton Ridings.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnston, Chad Johnston, Steven Ridings, Jonathon Hoffnauer, Jody Lofton, and Steve Wheeler.
