Patsy Brown Ebarb

September 10, 1929 — February 28, 2019

Funeral Services for Mrs. Patsy Brown Ebarb, 89, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Ridge Avenue Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paschal’s Catholic Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

On the 28th day of February 2019, our mother, Patsy Brown Ebarb, was released from her suffering and the wheelchair she was in for the last 12 years.

Besides being the absolute best mother a child could ever have, our mother was an unbelievably talented pianist. She played for the “Rock of Ages” senior choir at Ridge Avenue and some local gospel groups besides being a piano teacher. The piano was her friend. It was remarked that you could tell what mood Pat was in by what she was playing. Those hands also painted many beautiful pieces of china and ceramic and for the last 12 years of her life they pushed a wheelchair. We will miss her presence greatly but her memory will forever live in our hearts. Thank you Lord, for allowing us to have her in our lives these many years.

Mother was preceded in death by her parents, William McKinley “Smug” Brown and Vesta Poston Brown; her husband of 52 years, Mitchell “Mike” Ebarb; a son, Mike “Ken” Ebarb; and a beloved grandson, Brad Hern.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cindy Jarzabek (Joe), Jennifer Clark, and Denise Ebarb; granddaughter, Amanda Clark Regan (Ryle); grandsons, Christopher Mayo, Cooper Mayo and Sam Regan; sister, Charlotte Brown Simmons (Harold); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Joe Jarzabek, Ryle Regan, Brian Mayo, Bill Feazel, Billy Odaware and Tony Eager.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Ebarb’s daughters would like to express appreciation to Landmark Nursing Home for those who cared for our mother these past four years. And also to a wonderful and caring group of ladies that sat with our mother every day in the dining room at the Landmark. There were so many that claimed mother as their own. We can’t list them all, but you had a special place in mother’s heart and yes, you will always be our sisters.
