A family gathering for Patsy Ann McLain Babb, 68, of Monroe, LA, will be 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the mini chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, Louisiana.
Mrs. Babb was born September 28, 1951 and passed away on October 15, 2019. Patsy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. She was truly passionate about her family, which included countless cruises with her sisters and traveling cross-country to spend time with her grandchildren, niece, and nephews: Theresa, Kristopher, Jim and John. Patsy married Carroll Babb, the love of her life, in 1972, and remained a devoted partner for 47 years until Carroll's passing in March. In 1978, Patsy and Carroll took on their greatest challenge and greatest joy by adopting their newborn daughter, Stephanie. Patsy's passion was coloring and talking with Stephanie as a child. In 2001, Stephanie and Michael gave Patsy her first grandchildren, twin girls- Kaley and Mari Katherine. Then again in 2005, with her only grandson - Evan. After Patsy retired as the Assistant Director of Human Resources from Glenwood in 2014, Patsy dedicated herself to spending time with family and traveling the country.
Preceded in death by her father Mack McLain, Mother Noma McLain, and husband Louis Carroll Babb.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie and husband Michael Poche; grandchildren, Kaley, Mari Katherine, and Evan Poche; sisters, Margarette and her husband Charles Goss, and Paula Reynolds
