Patricia "P.K." Wells

Memorial services for Patricia “PK” Wells, 67, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2016, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

P.K. passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center downtown. She was a longtime member of North Monroe Baptist Church. She provided childcare in her home for over 40 years. She touched the lives of many children throughout her many years providing care. She loved to cook, enjoyed eating good meals, and loved to shop. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

P.K. was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Nell Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert Wells; one daughter, Angela Rugg and husband Jeff; one son, Ryan Wells and wife Betsy; six grandchildren, Hannah, Kyle, and Cameron Rugg; Sarah, Katelyn, and Leah Wells; one sister, Judith Cross; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and mother-in-law, Elsie Wells.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to service on Sunday, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Owen Meyers and family, as well as the doctors and staff of St. Francis Medical Center.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to North Monroe Baptist Church building fund.
