Patricia “Patti” Roshto

Funeral services for Patricia “Patti” Roshto, 64, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2018, at Rowland Road Baptist Church, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Butch Roshto and Rev. Norman Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Patricia "Patti" Roshto died quietly Friday, December 29, 2017, at her home of 33 years in Monroe LA with her husband Gary at her side. It was their 45th wedding anniversary.

Patti was born January 31, 1953, in Alexandria, LA, and was 64 years old when she left this life. Patti graduated from Pineville High School with Honors in 1971, and later from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) with her accounting degree and Master's degree (MBA). She was a teacher at heart, always helping students with their studies and career goals. Patti was an instructor at ULM for 35 years and loved every minute of it. She had just moved into her new office and was ready for the new semester to start in mid-January. She will be sorely missed.

Patti was an active member of Rowland Road Baptist Church of Monroe, LA for over 40 years, serving continually in several ministries. Patti loved her Lord Jesus Christ and His local church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Abbott Grover and Edith Alma Voss Grover; her brother, Kenneth Abbott Grover; her brother-in-law, Lawrence Burke; her nephew, Michael Dawain Burke; and her grandson, Joshua Elias Hibbets.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Roshto; their three children, Aleecia Roshto Hibbets and her husband David E. Hibbets, Andrew Neill Roshto and his wife Danielle Thomas Roshto, Angela Roshto Parker and her husband Adam E. Parker; her grandchildren, Jayden Alivia Hibbets, Gabriel Rayne Hibbets, Laynie June Roshto, Aidalyn Grayce Parker, Evan Davidson Hibbets, Annaleigh Rose Parker, Hallie Kate Roshto, and Joel Andrew Roshto; her sister, Edith Grover Burke; nieces, Kari Ann Edwards and Terry Burke Smith; and nephew, Larry Michael Burke.

Visitation will be held at Rowland Road Baptist Church from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor can be made to: ULM Foundation - Patricia G. Roshto Memorial Fund; Rowland Road Baptist Church Pavilion Fund; or PMD Family Support.
