Funeral services for Patricia P. Bates, 91, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with Boyd Padgett officiating.
Mrs. Bates passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence in West Monroe, LA. She was an active member of First Christian Church.
Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Dan Cox; husband of 10 years, Russell Bates; parents, Merl and Hazel Padgett; and sister, Charlotte Padgett Bolton.
Survivors include her children, Robert Cox, John Cox, Betty Jane (BJ) Wade and husband Buddy; brother, James L. Padgett and wife Ann; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to her LHC Hospice team.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
