Funeral services for Patricia Anne Vickers, 83, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA with Rev. John Thompson. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Mrs. Vickers was born October 27, 1938, in Pleasant Hill, LA, and passed away Sunday, September 25, at Ochsner LSU Medical Center Monroe.
Some called her Patricia, some called her Pat, others called her Patsy. We were blessed to call her Mom.
She was devoted to her husband of 66 years, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was everything to her. Her compassion for others showed in everything she did, especially in her career as a nurse.
She had many talents such as her charcoal drawings, sewing and interior design. If she could not find it, she would build it.
Mrs. Vickers was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Poole; grandson, James (Jimmy) Hemphill; brother, Kenneth Mills; sister, Carolyn Halleron.
Survivors include her husband, James T. Vickers; daughters, Marla K. Aston, Connie D. McAdams and husband Mike, and Kelly A. Vickers; brothers, Danny Mills and Harold Poole Jr; granddaughters, Shelly Wallace and husband Daniel, Amy Ryder and husband Mike, Miranda Chris and husband Josh, and Jamie Villarrial and husband Gerald. 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Aston, Mike Ryder, Daniel Wallace, Thomas Price, Mike Brown and Billy Jordan. Honorary pallbearer will be John Guyn.
