Pamelia Yesse

Funeral services for Pamelia Yesse, 72, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, with Rev. Terry Barnes and Rev. Everette Geis officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.

Pam was born in Delhi, LA, where she was raised by her loving parents, Loyd and Mary Washington. 

Pam built her life in Monroe and truly enjoyed her career working in payroll at Monroe City School Board until her eventual retirement.

Pam’s husband, Gary, was her best friend and love of her life. The two of them were rarely seen apart. She centered her life around God and her unwavering love for her family. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her many grandchildren and even great grandchildren, hosting countless pool parties and movie nights in her home. She was never too busy to open her heart to any of us who needed a kind word or one of her warm hugs. The unconditional love and support of her Sunday school class at Parkview Baptist Church was so important to her; she would often say it was the source of her daily strength.

Pam passed peacefully from this earth on July 19th at St. Francis Medical Center after a brief illness. The family would like to thank the healthcare team at St. Francis Medical Center for the care, and a heartfelt thank you especially to Nickie Spillers, NP, for her gentle guidance and expert knowledge.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Mary Washington; sister, Charlotte Higgins; nephew, Chuck Higgins; and son-in-law, Ray Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Yesse; brother, James Washington; son, Roger Walters (Lee); daughter, Julia Martin; stepdaughter, Ashley Daniels (Phillip); stepson, Brandon Yesse (LeeAnn); grandchildren, Tyler Walters (Sydney), Cody Walters, Myranda Walters, Stormee Kester (Tristan), Tanner Sebren, Beaux Martin (Annabelle), Grayson Martin, Morgan Martin, Blair Daniels, Brooke Daniels, Adalyn Yesse, and Avery Yesse; nieces, Mary Higgins, Tanya Windle, and Shannon Washington; as well as six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Walters, Beaux Martin, Grayson Martin, Morgan Martin, Tanner Sebren, and Tristan Kester.
