Funeral services for Otto Conrad Nash, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Otto was born January 30, 1930, in Huttig, AR to parents, Otto B and Oneal McHenry Nash, and passed away on August 31, 2017, in Monroe. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Otto served in Korea during the Korean War. Otto retired from the Louisiana Highway Department and spent his retirement years volunteering at the Veterans Home and the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum. He was a member of Barak Shrine and the Commodores, a Mason, also the Moose Lodge. He also spent many pleasurable hours gathering and studying the genealogy of his family.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Thelma Jones Nash.
Survivors include his companion, Connie White; cousins, Armande Kennedy and Sarah Hendricks of West Monroe, Kay Wilkins of Lufkin, TX, and James W. Little of Beaumont, TX; and special foster son, Michael Bays.
Pallbearers will be Paul Newman, Harris Jones, Jerry Herrick, Jerry Smith, Will Sam, Johnnie Jones and Tyler Kuecker.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017, 12:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.
