Otis D. Korn

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Otis D. Korn, 93, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 2, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mr. Korn died April 29, 2015.Mr. Korn was a member of the Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University and retired from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, as a Division Manager with 33 years of service. Mr. Korn served in the United States Navy during WWII. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. Mr. Korn was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Nell Korn and also by eight brothers.Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Pounds Korn; sister, Audrey Korn Johnson; Children, Fred Korn and wife Jill; Donald Korn and wife Patricia; Peggy Moore and husband Frank; and Linda Levy and husband Nathan; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shalia Hollenshead and Angelia Walters for their care for Mr. Korn.Memorials may be made to Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe.
