Graveside services for Otella Davis Robeson, 96, of Springfield, MO, formerly of West Monroe, LA will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Cody Keyes officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Robeson passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Ozark, MO. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and the Morning Glories Sunday School Class. She retired from managing a coffee shop in the City Hall, Shreveport, LA at the age of 72. She worked with and was a long-standing member of the American Council of the Blind as well as Missouri Council of the Blind, holding local and national offices.
Mrs. Robeson was preceded in death by her husband, James F. “Shorty” Robeson; son, Glenn W. Robeson; daughter-in-law, Jean Day Robeson; brothers, Charles W. Thomas, Lee Roy Davis and Robert “Bob” Davis; sisters, Dorothy Wink, Grace Hale, Hilda Cook and Martha Plaia.
Survivors include her children, James L. “Jim” Robeson and wife Vickie, and Cheryl R. Spence and husband Keith; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of loving friends.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Visitation will be 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
