Funeral Services for Opie Lenard, 52, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Glen Lenard officiating. Interment will follow in Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA, and a reception will follow at the Lapine Assembly of God Church.
Opie Lenard was born November 12, 1964 in Hattiesburg, MS, and passed away January 14, 2017 in Sioux City, IA. He was a devoted family man and loyal friend, who had a tremendous work ethic. His work took him all over the United States and Europe. Opie enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren, and riding his beloved Harley “Lazy Susan”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Lenard; and his lifelong friend, Doyle Lively.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Lenard; mother, Josephine Lenard; children, Jamie McKnight, Dylan McKnight, Michael Lenard, and Cassidy Lenard; brothers, Tavis Bryant, Kenny Lenard, Charlie Lenard, and Lee Alderman; sister, Cindy Wroten; grandchildren, Roxy, Cara, Trapper, Ethan, Bella, Cooper, Josie and Kayleigh; and a host of family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Doug Whitlock, Jeff Hulsey, Eddie Beaver, Brian Lenard, Heath Bryant, Hunter Abbott and LJ Sidney.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
