Opal H. "Bit" Taylor

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Opal H. (Bit) Taylor, 91, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at Mulhearn’s.

Mrs. Taylor died July 25, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Assisted Living in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Taylor was a longtime member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. She graduated from Neville High School. Bit was a lifelong member of TOPS. She enjoyed working on crafts and loved having garage sales.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Taylor; her parents, Ikey and Grace Harris; and her sister, Elva Holder.

Survivors: her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jean Ann Taylor; Grandchildren, Kristian Quinn and husband, Michael, Corey Taylor and wife, DeAnn, and Kati Taylor; Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor and Hunter Quinn, Marley, Addison, and Emory Taylor, Caden and Sadie Hennessey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Corey Taylor, Junot Dixon, Ronnie Dotson, Michael Quinn, Doug Taylor and Jimmy Taylor.

Memorials may be made to the Neville Alumni and Friends Association or the charity of your choice.
