Onie Murle Hopkins

Graveside Services for Mr. Onie Murle Hopkins, 93, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bastrop, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Hopkins was born November 24, 1928, in Harmony, AR, and passed away December 16, 2021, in West Monroe, LA. He had a great love for his children and grandchildren. After retirement, he enjoyed quail hunting with his brothers and his bird dogs.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dale Hopkins; sister, Geraldine Milby; brother-in-law, J. L. Milby; and sister-in-law, G. V. Hopkins.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Ruth Hopkins; children, A. W. Hopkins and wife Karen, Susan Humphries and husband Bryce, and Jesse Owens and wife Margaret; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; his brother, W. L. Hopkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Copeland, Shane Ballance, Austin Audirsch, Gavin Copeland, Hunter Ballance, and T. J. Perez.
