Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Olna G. “Grace” Bowman White, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA

Mrs. White was born on July 4, 1937 in Wilhite, LA and passed away on July 28, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. White enjoyed being outside in nature, tending to her flowers and feeding and watching the birds. She also enjoyed listening to gospel and country music and the Rebel Football games on Friday nights, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She always said, “
the biggest blessings in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren”, and she wanted them all to be safe, healthy and happy. Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ora Antley; sisters, Faye Bailey, Ida Cook, and Virginia Ann Calhoun; husbands, William E. “Bill” Bowman, and James H. White; and her son, Chris Bowman.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Denton and husband, Mike; son, Gary Bowman; grandchildren, Rick Causey and wife, Lesli, Diana Ellis and husband, Timmy, Joshua Bowman, and Christie Dickens and husband, Gray; great grandchildren, Micah, Evan, and Emilee Causey; Christopher Brister, Holdyn Bowman, and Grayson and Bowman Dickens; sisters, Elsie King and LaVerne Barnes; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Calhoun, Rick Causey, Micah Causey, Christopher Brister, Gray Dickens, and Timmy Ellis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Bowman, Holdyn Bowman, and Evan Causey.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until Service Time on Wednesday.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staffs at StoneyBrook Memory Care and Jordan Hospice for the great care of our Mother.
