Funeral services for Mrs. Olivia Jean Hendricks, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 28, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Dwight Munn and Dr. Lionel Crowell officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Hendricks was born in Monroe, LA November 8, 1929 and passed away Friday, March 25, 2011. She resided in West Monroe and was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church and past member of the Women of the Moose. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall R. Johnston, Sr. and Dora Broadway Tolar.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Prentiss C. Hendricks; one daughter, Diane Sallinger (A.C); three sons, Rick (Brenda), Scott, and Greg (Kristi) Hendricks; seven grandchildren, Eric Sallinger (Lauren), Sharon Sallinger, Chelle Cupit (Glenn), Erika Spencer (Jake), Lauren Zachry (Paul), Lindsey Gosdin (Jeremy), and Christie Bonvillain; eleven great-grandchildren, Madeline Galland, Mia Sallinger, Caleb Sallinger, Ryan and Kelsey Cupit, Curry, Cam, and Cason Spencer, Haylea Zachry, Jude Gosdin, and Jasmine Bonvillain, her sister Mary Louise Hamilton of Tacoma, WA, and brothers Marshall R. Johnston, Jr. of Bastrop, LA and Robert G. Johnston of Charleston, SC.
Pallbearers will be her grandson, four grand-son-in-laws, and nephew, Jeff Hendricks.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 27, 2011 and from 1:00 P.M. to time of service Monday, March 28, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
