Memorial Services for Mrs. Olivia Gray Brown, 58, of Downsville, LA, will be held 4:00PM Friday, October 2, 2020, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will be held from 3:00PM until 4:00PM Friday at the funeral home.

Olivia Gray Brown lovingly known as “Sissy” was born January 19, 1962, and went to her heavenly home March 29, 2020, after a short illness. She recently had fought a tough battle with breast cancer, and it appeared she was doing great.

She was born in Monroe, Louisiana to John B. Gray and Martha Gray Harris. She got her nursing license in 1982, and she worked in the medical field ever since. She was currently employed at the Monroe Medical Clinic under the supervision of Dr. Tom Dansby, Jr.
Sissy loved her God. She also had a soft spot for all animals, especially her cats, dogs and even a stray she loved called Blue. She loved her work and everyone at Monroe Medical Clinic especially her “Doc”. She did all she could to make everyone happy. She was the world’s best baker; her cheesecake was phenomenal, and her homemade brownies were awesome.

Sissy was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Harris; and mother-in-law, Audrey Varner.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Brown; sister, Maria (Rita) Moody and husband Michael Moody; brothers, John (Bill) Gray, Mathew Gray, and Mark Gray; and many nieces and nephews. Sissy also has a great nephew that she has had a very special bond with since he was 2, Landen Michael
