Funeral Services for Mr. Ocie Clarence Pemberton, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waymond Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, LA.Mr. Pemberton was born on September 13, 1936 and passed away on August 17, 2016. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1956 and retired as manager with the Monroe Housing Authority. Mr. Pemberton was an active member of Fair Park Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Walker George Masonic Lodge #467 and the Mid-South Goat Masters Association. He loved gardening, working with his farm animals, and helping others. Mr. Pemberton is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Gordon and Sarah Susie Gautney Pemberton; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Florence “Flo” Pemberton; children, Gordon Pemberton, Richard Pemberton and wife, Brenda, Debbie Renwick, Phillip Pemberton and wife, Nancy and Kala Johnson and husband, Duke; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Forest.Pallbearers will be members of the Walker George Lodge #467. Memorials may be made to the Fair Park Baptist Church Hope Park Fund or to the Mid-South Goat Masters Scholarship Fund.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
