Norma Lee (Newby) Elliott

Funeral services for Ms. Norma Lee “Newby” Elliott, 94, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Craig Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2021, at the mausoleum chapel under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Ms. Elliott was born April 8, 1927, in Quapaw, OK, and passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at Ouachita Healthcare Nursing Home, Monroe, LA.

Ms. Elliott worked as a secretary for Elliott Scale, Co., as well as for First Christian Church where she was a member, an elder, and the church she raised her children in. She also loved working as a Mary Kay Consultant. Ms. Elliott loved her family. All her grandchildren and their friends knew her as “Grandma.”

Ms. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Lottie Mae Newby; her husband, David Charles Elliott, Sr.; four brothers; two sisters; and one daughter, Cheryl Roach.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Grahm (Clem); sons, Charlie Elliott (Jackie), Thom Elliott, Phillip Elliott; daughter, Janet Williams (Jim); fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Roach, Michael Roach, John Elliott, Phillip Elliott, and David Elliott

The family wishes to extend thanks to the Ouachita Healthcare Staff and Stat Hospice.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church in Monroe.
