Graveside Services for Ms. Norma Jean Brown, 66, of West Monroe, LA will be 4:00 PM Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Hughes Chapel Cemetery in Beekman, LA.
Ms. Brown passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008. She graduated from Bastrop High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ms. Brown owned and operated restaurants in Houston, TX. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Norma was the crossing guard for the West Monroe Alternative School and worked at the Monroe Civic Center. She was an avid pet lover and enjoyed traveling. She was well loved by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sister, Sarah Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel Jackson Brown and Edna Leona Mathis Brown and seven brothers and sisters, Virginia Boseman, Allene Watson, C.J. Brown, Lucille Boseman, Bennie Brown, Gene “Joe” Brown, and Donald Brown.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Boseman, Patrick Boseman, Brent Stokes, Ray Stokes, Chad Watson, Daniel Watson, Hughen Watson, and Dan Wooten.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hughes Chapel Methodist Church in Beekman, LA.
