Our mom was a loving mother and grandmother. If she ever had the chance to show how much she loved her family, Mama took the opportunity. From serving as a “room mom” in our classes or as a Brownie leader, she took every chance to be a part of the lives of her family and children. She was the center of it all. Even as adults, we wanted to spend every Friday evening at Mama’s house. Anyone that had the privilege of knowing her knew several things about her: she loved her family and she loved to feed them. No one escaped “Mawmaw’s” house without a full belly (and usually a glass of milk). She truly loved her role as a “Mawmaw” and received so much joy in spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren. She had a way of making people laugh without even trying. Mama lit up the room with her laughter and her presence. We will miss her and cherish every memory of her until the day we see her again.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Blackman, Gerald Coleman, Chris Bryant, Wesley Coleman, Tony Womack, and Devin Blackman.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Fair Park Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Chaplain Randy, Social Worker, Cindy, and Nurses, Debby and Annette at Ascend Hospice; they would also like to thank the special nurses at the West Monroe Guest House, especially Angie, Cherilyn, and Penny.
They would also like to thank Fair Park Baptist Church of West Monroe for ministering to them during this difficult time.
