Nolan Leroy “Roy” McCaa, Jr.

Funeral services for Nolan Leroy “Roy” McCaa, Jr., 82, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2019, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the church.

Mr. McCaa was born August 14, 1936, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He worked at D & J Construction and was a farmer. Mr. McCaa was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of New Light Baptist Church.

Mr. McCaa was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Leroy McCaa, Sr. and Winifred Edoris Demoss McCaa; brother, Jerry Alonzo McCaa; and sister, Doris Jean Layne.

Survivors include his wife, Bettina Fay Morgan McCaa; daughter, Sherry Lee McCaa Walker and husband John David; son, Robert Allen McCaa and wife Karen Wells McCaa; granddaughters, Stacey Alicia Walker, Jennifer Diane Walker and husband B. J. Johnston, Karla Laetta Pierce and husband Brandon, and Samantha Kate McCaa; grandsons, John Roy Walker, Grant H. R. Walker and wife Allyson, James Kyle Lowery and wife Morgan, great-grandchildren, Nolan Mack Walker, Sadie Beth Lowery, Ella Leigh Lowery, Olivia Mae Pierce, Madison Laetta Pierce, and JoAnna Michelle Pierce.

Pallbearers will be J. D. Walker, Grant Walker, John Walker, Kyle Lowery, B. J. Johnston, and Brandon Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Smith and Tom Dickens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Light Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
