Funeral services celebrating the life of Nina Kay Hayden, 70, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 2, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Pastor Jim Green and Ann Rayner officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Chatham Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Nina was born on November 13, 1953 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2024.
Ms. Hayden was a very unique and special individual and she touched the lives of all who knew her. Although Nina was never married and never had children, she had many who considered her as their Granny. She was always up for a ride to go get ice cream or an icee, a trip to the local library to make a craft. Nina was such a social butterfly. She enjoyed being visited by a good-looking man anytime, whether it be the local ambulance personnel, fireman, doctor, her nurse, or just a friendly passerby and she let it be known. Nina loved to look pretty, often wearing her rhinestone leggings, her jewelry, having her nails painted, and being fully made up. She was spoiled to the core by her devoted caregivers. If she wanted it, she got it.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Jesse Hayden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Billy Hayden; her special caregivers that have been by her side for the last several years, Betty Bradford, Tori Rayner, and Diane Foster; and her best friend and neighbor, Sharon; her special cat, KK; and longtime friend, Blackie the Fish.
The pallbearers will be Jessica Evans, Greg Rayner, Tori Rayner, Betty Bradford, Randall Gregory, and Remington Gregory.
