Nicholas "Nick" Ryan Greener

Funeral services for Nicholas Ryan (Nick) Greener, 33, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Friday March 12, 2021 at Cheniere Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Zach Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Cheniere Baptist Church cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed at Cheniere Baptist Church Facebook page.

The family would ask that everyone wear facemasks at the funeral and visitation for their safety and the safety of guests.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Cheniere Baptist Church. Please come and go so that social distancing is practiced, and more guests can see family members in a timely manner.

Nick died suddenly March 7, 2021 from complications of a recent injury.

Nick was a Deacon of Cheniere Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in various ministries of all ages. He loved his church and the friends there who have become family. If the doors were open, he was there finding somewhere to serve the congregation.

He graduated from Woodlawn High School where he was equipment manager and involved in the treatment of the athletes minor injuries. He was so proud that the basketball teams that he was involved with were back to back undefeated state champions. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in sports medicine and working with the Ragin Cajun football team. Nick was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. He was the Manager of T. P. Outdoors in Monroe for the last 10 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and kids, going to car races, fishing with his Pop, and watching Any and All sporting events.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy Petrus Greener; children, Bristol(7) and Benton(4) Greener; mother and step-father, Sherri and Gary Ingram; Father and step-mother, Hap and Angela Greener; In-laws, Bill and Lori Petrus; Brothers, William Ingram, Wayne Ingram (Ashley) and Adam Reed(Jamie); maternal grandparents, Charles and Gloria Thompson and Preston and Helen Ingram; paternal grandparents, Joyce and the late Steve Greener and Dave and the late Brenda Whitney;Sister-in-law, Emalee Petrus Bell (Brad); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be William Ingram, Wayne Ingram, Adam Reed, Caleb Pool, Phil Parker, Brad Bell, and Brett Bennett.

Memorials may be made to the Nicholas Greener memorial education account set up at Progressive Bank, where all the proceeds will be for his children’s education fund.
