Nellie Rae Gates Hatten

Funeral service celebrating the life of Nellie Rae Gates Hatten, 87, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 25, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Clyde Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.

Mrs. Hatten was born on January 1, 1935, in Winnfield, LA and passed away at her residence in Calhoun, LA on July 22, 2022. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and garden. She also loved needlework, cooking, sewing and making quilts. Mrs. Hatten was a member of First Baptist Church in Calhoun, LA and is preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Leola Gates; brother, Felton Gates and daughter-in-law, Marcia Robinson Hatten.

Survivors include her husband, Archie “Bud” Hatten; children, Deborah Hatten Springs, and Randall Hatten; grandchildren, Chad Hatten, Katie Moreau, Mark Hatten, Kristi Boucher, and Josh Bowie; along with a host of great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hatten, Chad Hatten, John Bowie, Benny Gewin, Tommy Price, and Paul Gates.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Monday.
