Services for Nellie Belle Lyons Eager, 95 of Start, LA will be 10:00AM Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Start Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in Girard, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Nellie was the oldest member of Start Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Start, going to school as well as raising her family there.
She is preceded in death by her parents-James Edward and Mary Jane Dorman Lyons and her husband-Merwyn Armstrong Eager.
She is survived by a son-Merwyn Eugene Eager and wife Josephine M. of Pearland, TX; a daughter-Mary Nell Morgan of Satellite Beach, FL; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters-Bernice Keeter of Witchita, KS and Kathleen Moore of Monroe, LA; one sister-in-law-Kathleen Eager of Rayville; several nieces and nephews; and numerous church family.
Pallbearers will be Randy Eager, Kevin Henry, Ron Mason, Wade Temple, Mann Moore, and Ray Trisler.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM till service time at Start Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Start Baptist Church.
