Private family graveside services for Mrs. Nancy Brady “Mousie” Cooper, 82, of Monroe, LA, will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road.
Mrs. Cooper was born June 1, 1937, in Grand Gulf, Mississippi and passed away Friday, May 8, 2020, at her residence in Monroe, LA. Nancy retired from Central Bank as a bank collector. She was a secretary for AMVETS and spent five years volunteering for the NE Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe, LA. She enjoyed collecting precious decorative mouse artwork and figurines. She loved to work in her garden and flower beds. She received Yard of the Month several times.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. “Bear” Cooper; parents, Lonzo and Marthy Brady; daughters, Denora F. White and Nola R. Pruitt; brother, Dwight Hagan and JR Brady.
Survivors include her daughter, Anne Holcomb; son, Jimmie Pruitt (Samantha); grandchildren, Kenneth Waters (Tabitha), Laura Pruitt, Samuel Pruitt, and Aubrey Storey; brother, Art Hagan (Suzanne); nieces, Rebecca DelRio, Patricia Manning, and Donna Williams; sister- in- law, Ruby Hamilton, and 6 great grandchildren, 10 great nieces and nephews, and 20 great great nieces and nephews.
