Funeral services for Nailor Jerome Adams, Jr., 94, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with Rev. David Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born July 2, 1923, in Malvern, AR, and passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, in Monroe, LA. Mr. Adams served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a retired school teacher for Terrebonne High School in Houma, LA. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Nailor Jerome Adams, Sr. and Erma Donnahoo Adams; and his wife, Marjorie Barrett Adams.
Survivors include his son, Neal Jay Adams and wife Chris, of Houston, TX; daughters, Bonnie Adams Moore and husband David, of Monroe, LA, and Carolyn Sue Adams Hill and husband Mical, of New Orleans, LA; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stan Felts, Addison Felts, Jonathan Hill, Jeremy Moore, Randy Wiggins and Kade Perrusa.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 11, 2017, Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
