Myrita Gayle Baldree, 80, of West Monroe, passed away April 19, 2021, at her residence in West Monroe, surrounded by her family.
Gayle was born on July 15, 1940 in Monroe, LA, to parents, Bill and Juanita Crow. She was born with a great zest for life. She loved her family and friends, and often shared her passions of travel, cooking, and gardening with all. She was a dedicated Art teacher for over 30 years and loved her students and teaching. She was also a member of First Baptist Church, The Monroe Garden Club, The English-Speaking Union, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Republican Women’s Club.
Gayle was preceded in death by her father, Bill Crow, and her mother, Juanita Crow.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Baldree; sister, Linda Wallace and husband, James; son, Will Lewis and wife, Roni; daughter, Kathy Lewis; grandchildren, Chris Lewis and wife, Michelle, Caitlin Lewis, and Brandon Lewis; and great grandchildren, Ryan and Breana Lewis.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at her new home at a later date.
