J. E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Wallace-Day, treasured wife, mother, grandmother, g-maw, sister, aunt and friend, was born on April 14, 1933, and passed away on December 25, 2018, in Bastrop, LA. Known for her two-story biscuits, hot water cornbread and chicken and dumplings, if you ever left her house hungry it was your own fault. We were all blessed to have learned many valuable life lessons during her 85 years with us. Most of you can guess, they were about fishing. She certainly would and could tell you a thing or two about fishing. Also known as the White Perch Lady, her favorite place was in a boat with her beloved husband, Aubrey fishing along side other family and friends. But don’t forget to hold onto your cap, Right Pop!!
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin and Neoma Lawrence Hancock; son, Clarence Cliffton Patton, JR.; great-grandson, Codye Mardis Patton; great-granddaughter, Autumn Spruell; three brothers, Curtis Hancock, Billy Ray Hancock and Bill Hancock; and her son-in-law, William “Billy” Taylor.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Aubrey L. Day; son, James Marshall King and wife Barbara; daughters, Connie Sue Williams, Matilda King Parker and husband Jessie, Carla King Russell, and Bonnie
King Price and husband Dean; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chad Winstead, Trevor Jones, Michael O’Neal, Terry Day, Robert Day, and Jeremy Pruitt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Eubanks and Johnny Bishop.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018.
Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19
