Stuart Sherman officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. Services will also be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday with visitation from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, LA. Interment will be in the Gardens of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, LA.Mrs. Stewart was born September 14, 1928 and passed away March 1, 2016. She was a member at Asbury Methodist Church, graduate of Northwestern University and was a resident of Winnfield from 1954 until 2006. Mrs. Stewart was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Grover Stewart; children, Dale Stewart and wife Katheryn, Glenn P. Stewart and wife Leah, and Joe R. Stewart and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Webb Stewart, Shelley Crowder and Kelyn Freudiger; great grandchildren, Kannon Freudiger, Kambell Freudiger and Ava Crowder; brothers, Henry Dayton Thrash and Don Thrash; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Webb Stewart, Will Jones, Roy Glen McGrew, Kevin Freudiger, Ben Crowder and Chance Guilliams. Arrangements under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
