His adventuresome spirit was touched with kindness and compassion. Always guided by a strong work ethic, he understood that the way through adversity was with education and graduated from Northwestern State University with undergraduate and graduate degrees. He found his passion for vocational and technical education when he started as a drafting instructor at the Northeast Louisiana Vo-Tech School in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Kenneth advanced from being a drafting instructor to being the assistant director and then served as director of the vo-tech school in Winnsboro for a number of years before becoming the regional director and also directed the North Central Louisiana Vo-Tech School and retired from public education in the year 2000 after 26 years of exemplary service. Kenneth touched countless lives as an educator and administrator. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, motorcycle riding, drawing, traveling and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. Kenneth also enjoyed piloting and was able to skydive with his sons for his 70th birthday. Time spent with his grandchildren included storytelling, whittling, throwing footballs and encouraging their education.
