Mr. Gene Clyde Haynes, Sr.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Gene Clyde Haynes, Sr., 76, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 8, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ottis Lenoir and Rev. Danny McIllveene officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA

Mr. Haynes died at his residence on November 5, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

Gene was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. He was a retired Sales Representative with Bancroft Paper Company. He was a member of the Masons and the Eastern Star Lodge, and he loved going to auctions buying and selling many items over the years. Gene served in the United States Army on the Army Aviation Test Board at Ft. Rucker, Alabama and Ft. Greely, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Haynes and his brother, Jerry David Haynes.

Survivors: Daughter, Cindy Lynn McElwee; Son, Gene Clyde Haynes, Jr and wife, Sheila; Sisters, Kathleen Smith and Sallie Maureen Haynes-French; Brother, William Cecil Haynes, Jr.; 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be William C. Haynes, III, William Dustin Haynes, Darren Drew Lowery, David (D.J.) Linton, Andy Louis Johnson, Jr., Gordon Dobbs and Aaron Dobbs

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
