Funeral services for Monte Gray McGough, 90, of Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Shane Nugent, Rev. Grant Bamburg, Rev. Jimmy Yocum and Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Monte G. McGough, Monroe Fire Department and a roofing contractor, died Monday, June 26, 2017, at home. He was a War World II veteran.
Mr. McGough was preceded in death by his sons, Monte Waye McGough, Bobby Glen McGough, granddaughter, heather McGough, mother, Ruby McGough, dad, Duke McGough, sister, Rita McGough and brother, James McGough.
Survivors include his wife Jessie Lee McGough; sons, Danny Ray McGough and wife Caren, Kenny McGough; daughters, Sandra Nugent and husband Terry, Karen Navarro; daughter-in-law Edith McGough; 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Frank McGough and wife Carolyn, Charles McGough, Donald McGough and wife Julia; sisters, Pat Hudson, Carol Collins and husband David, Janice Lipscomb, Betty Sue Barnes and husband Hartwell and Effie McGough; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Morgan McGough, Brent McGough, Chad Navarro, Jesse LaDart, Cole McMillion and Trevor McGough.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 28, 2017, from 12:00 PM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road Monroe, LA.
