Mollie Halley Sutton

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Mollie Halley Sutton, 85, of Sterlington, LA will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church Sterlington with Rev. Ben Hackler, Rev. Dennis Hackler and Rev. J E Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutton was born November 13, 1938, and passed away on August 20, 2024. She was a member of First Baptist Church Sterlington. Mrs. Sutton worked at Ouachita National Bank for 30+ years and then for Manpower for 10 years. She was a portrait of a true lady who selflessly put the needs of others before herself.

She is preceded in death by parents, Claude and Flossie Halley; brothers, Bill Halley, JD Halley, Mickey Halley and Tony Halley; and sisters, Claudie Mae Rutherford, Lynette Knight and Dorothy Gilmore.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Wayne Sutton; three sons, Michael Sutton and wife Nancy, Marty Sutton and wife Julie, and John David Sutton and wife Melanie; five grandchildren, Faith Thompson and husband Justin, Nathan Sutton and wife Jill, Luke Sutton, Patrick Sutton and wife Brooke, Victoria Oliver and husband Brantley; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Nell Whitt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

Pallbearers will be Nathan Sutton, Justin Thompson, Patrick Sutton, Luke Sutton, Brantley Oliver, and Randy Gilmore. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church Sterlington.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Sterlington. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her sweet caregivers, Brandie Atkins and Brittany Wilson. We could not have done it without the wonderful and compassionate care they gave to our precious mother. They would also like to thank Billy Branch, Rev. Ricky Baker and the staff of Louisiana Hospice as well.
