Gail Mitchell Lee, age 64 passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021. He was born November 20, 1956 in Monroe, LA, to Chuck and Maxine Lee. Mitchell was married to the love of his life, Marilyn, who he married at age 19. They have two children, Jennifer and Brian.
He had a humble way and knew how to connect with people one on one. He loved his family fiercely.
Mitchell stayed young at heart and had the best sense of humor. He enjoyed video gaming, Saturday motorcycle rides with his friend Joe, and tennis with the family.
He had a big heart was always ready to help anyone in need whether it be family or friend. He was ready to lend a hand, a tool, or advice.
He was meticulous when it came to his yard and cars, even other people’s. He was a car enthusiast enjoying Formula One and NASCAR. He retired from GM after 30 years after retiring from GM he spent the remaining years working at Partco.
A member and deacon of New Life Assembly of God where he served faithfully.
Mitchell is survived by his spouse, of 45 years, Marilyn Lee; daughter Jennifer Nicole Graves and husband Matt of West Monroe, LA; son Brian Mitchell Lee and wife Keri of Haughton, LA; four granddaughters Mallory Graves-Brown and husband Brennan, Jaylynn Graves, Karoline Lee, and Renee’ Platt and great-grandson Preston Toole. Brother Roger Lee and wife Gina of Houston, TX, Sisters Diane Barr and husband Shot of West Monroe and Melinda Owens and husband Donald of Olney, IL. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Charles H. Lee, Jr. and Myrtie Maxine Lee and nephew Charles Bradley Owens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brennan Graves-Brown, Joe Bousman, Daniel Hill, Erik Hill, John Oxner, Jeffery Lee, David Owens, and David Kowaleski.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Robert Hill officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
