Mitchell Glenn Snively

Funeral services for Mitchell Glenn Snively, 59, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Forsythe Church of Christ, Monroe, John Dobbs and Terry Ware officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM until service time, at the church.
Mr. Snively was born January 2, 1959, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. He was a very special son, brother and friend. He was a charter member of Forsythe Church of Christ. He participated in Special Olympics, Dixie Diehards baseball, Families Helping Families art shows and Next Chapter Book Club. He especially enjoyed church, John Wayne movies, listening to Willie Nelson, George Strait and Michael Jackson. Mitchell was an avid fan of Batman, Spiderman, Power Rangers and Walker Texas Ranger.
Mr. Snively was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Jarrett Snively; and step-father, Ralph Ewing Linton.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Humphreys Linton; sister, Tesa Snively Turner and husband Malcolm.
Pallbearers will be Terry Barnhill, Roland McClure, Tommy Inman, Donnie Franklin, David Burkett and Ronnie Teague.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Michael Sampognaro for his many years of care and kindness, the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and the loving caregivers at Americare.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsythe Church of Christ.
