Mildred Marie Ditta

Funeral services for Mildred Marie Ditta, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Monroe, LA., with Rev. Joseph A Martina, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Ditta passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Avalon Place Assisted Living Facility in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a member of the Pink Ladies at St. Francis Medical Center, enjoyed making spaghetti every Sunday with her family; she loved to travel, attended all of her grandchildren’s events and enjoyed sitting outside around her roses.

Mrs. Ditta was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Sr.; her son Sammy Jr.; and her two sisters; Evel Lea Woodard and Marjorie George.

Survivors include: Her son, Vic Ditta and wife Debra; two daughters Linda Ditta and Susan Ditta Frusha; Grandchildren Kathryn Wright, Jamie Lacas, Anna Ditta, Anthony Ditta and wife Ashley; Samantha Frusha; and Victoria Frusha; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Guy Woodard; Glenn Blazier; Anthony Ditta, Michael Ditta, Tommy Ditta and Kevin Dupree.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA., together with a Vigil Wake at 6:00PM.
