Mildred Kretzer Johnson

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mildred Kretzer Johnson, 91, of West Monroe, LA, will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Fr. Peter B. Mangum officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Paschal Catholic Mausoleum.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 9, 1933, and passed away on August 23, 2024. She was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Mrs. Johnson retired after 35+ years from Sears. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Robert Henry Johnson; parents, Otto and Mittie Holden Kretzer; and two brothers, Dewey Kretzer and Hollis Kretzer.

Survivors include her two children, Jennifer Johnson Noren and Robert “Johnny” Johnson and wife Peggy; two grandchildren, Leslie Noren and fiancé, Craig Castello and Chris Noren and wife MacKenzie; three great-grandchildren, Caroline, Camille and Charlotte Noren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

Pallbearers will be Chris Noren, Craig Castello, and Johnny Johnson.

Memorials may be made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Francis Specialty Hospital as well as Dr. Samer Roy and Dr. Larry Olinde.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
