Mickie Lynn Maxwell

Graveside services celebrating the life of Mickie Lynn Maxwell, 70, of Ruston, Louisiana, will be held at 9:30 A.M., Monday, October 28, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. 

Ms. Maxwell was born on November 11, 1953, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Ruston, Louisiana.

Mickie was a licensed minister and knew her loving savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to play the piano and sing and was a pianist at her local church, where she played and sang for the congregation. Mickie also loved to play pokino and bingo. Mickie was a graduate of West Monroe High School. She loved sharing God’s word with family and friends. God was first and foremost in her life always at the front of her mind. Mickie had various portraits of her family, friends, and loved ones lining the walls of her room, so that love was never too far away. She was a spunky individual who faced many challenges in her life which she overcame with strength and dignity and we are so proud to have known her. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Clark Hilburn; father, Osbon Maxwell; brothers, Jackie Johnson and J.W. Johnson; and nephews, Andy Edwards and Joey Edwards, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Bonnie Knotts; nephew, Tim Edwards (Kimberly); cousin, Jan Canterberry; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
