Michael Scott Howie was born on July 30, 1962, in Bastrop, Louisiana and passed away November 21, 2020 in Sterlington, LA
Scott attended Neville High School and was a Diesel Mechanic and Shop Foreman for over 30 years. He could take anything apart, repair it and put it back together with no spare parts. He was gifted to find a way to fix anything and make it work.
He loved being at “the camp” riding his red tractor bush hogging the Pecan orchard, driving his party barge on the Ouachita River and tinkering around in his grandfather’s shop under the camp. He also loved going on vacation with Samantha to the Ozarks and the beach.
Scott was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. He loved being with his kids and grandchildren cooking out and swimming in the pool. He had a loving and gentle soul that never met a stranger. Scott was a very humble person always lending a hand to anyone for anything. He was so much fun to be with, always laughing, happy and loved to joke around. He found something funny about most everything. Scott was so patient and sweet taking care of his mother over the years. Scott touched everyone’s heart that knew him.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie L. Howie, Grandparents Louie and Bonnye Howie and Arthur and Catherine Pringle.
Scott is survived by his wife, Samantha Howie; mother, Joyce Pringle Howie; son, Christopher Howie and wife Nicole and their children, Albi and April Howie with Jaxon Scott Howie due in March; daughter, Sarah Howie and son Riley; sister, Leesa Howie Travis and husband Bill; brother, Steve Howie and wife Donna; aunt, June Pringle Mattison; two cousins, Cynthia Adam and Brad Mattison, stepchildren, Richard and Emily Bishop, children Riley and Avery; Timothy Bishop and Amelia, their child Myla; Heather Shows and Shawn, and their children Conner and Jason.
